Mercury Rising Fashion Editorial for Vestal Magazine

I am absolutely thrilled to share this fashion editorial with you all. I love fashion photography and the joy of creating beautiful editorials always fulfills me. This editorial, however, is one of my favorites because it embodies my style. It is clean, bold, graphic, and eye-catching. I have been waiting months to share it with you all. My incredible team once again has helped me to express my vision! To really hear my concepts and to take a peek behind the scenes, please watch the video below. This editorial, Mercury Rising, just appeared in the prestigious Vestal Magazine. I was honored to work with one of my favorite models EVER, Mari from Major Model Management. She has endless legs, incredible profile, a regal stature, and is just incredible at posing to help me express my vision. The concept behind the shoot was to have Mari appear in silhouette with only highlights on her skin, to appear as if she was painted in a black latex paint. The effect was actually achieved using a variety of lotions/lubricants to coat the skin along with lighting to create a great deal of pronounced highlights. In each photograph I asked my stylist to choose clothing that would create a stark contrast to to the skin including metals, chains, or lighter patterned material. These would jump from the page. The combination of Griselle for makeup, Lisa for styling, and Mari as a model is explosive... and I have worked with this team several times before. Below I've provided links to my team, all the gear used, the final spreads for the magazine, and a detail behind the scenes video. I cannot wait to add these images into my portfolio!
